This interactive seminar will equip you with the insight you need to solve some of the most common structural problems facing builders today. We will demystify the complex code requirements for wall bracing and learn the tools to evaluate and select bracing solutions appropriate to your particular project. You will understand how to evaluate code compliant options for wall bracing based on application type, performance, cost and ease of installation.  We will demonstrate the latest software application for calculating wall bracing requirements on a typical New England home. Then you will conduct your own side by side comparison of code compliant sheathed walls and manufactured options, and evaluate the best applications for each.

• Define the basic principles of wind loading and design that determine wall bracing requirements.
• Analyze and evaluate the selection criteria required for choosing site-built code compliant braced walls or manufactured solutions based on installation, labor, performance and cost factors.
