American Institute of Architects (AIA)

American Institute of Architects Continuing Education Systems (AIA/CES) is the voice of the architecture profession dedicated to serving its members, advancing their value and improving the quality of the construction environment. All JLC LIVE conference sessions are submitted to AIA/CES for learning units (LU’s).

Informa Educational Provider No. 40107926

Architects will need to sign in with their AIA number at each seminar attended in order to receive their LU’s.

Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License (MA CSL)

In the state of Massachusetts, Contractor Supervisor Licensees are required to renew their license every two years on their birthday. Unrestricted licensees must obtain twelve (12) hours of CE. Restricted licensees must obtain ten (10) hours of CE. Specialty licenses must obtain six (6) hours of CE. Starting 1/1/18 Unrestricted and Restricted licenses are required to take 4 hours of Code Review, 1 hour of Workplace Safety, 1 hour of Business Practices/Workers Compensation, 1 hour of Energy and 1 hour of Lead Safe Practices as part of the 12 or 10 hour continuing education requirement.

RI Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board (RI CRLB)

The Rhode Island Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board ("CRLB") is the agency charged with regulating contractors in the State of Rhode and is governed by Rhode Island General Laws § 5-65-1 et seq.

Effective April, 2016, continuing education requirements established by law for residential contractors will take effect during the next registration renewal cycle. This means that all residential contractors including contractors who perform both residential and commercial work, will be required to obtain and provide proof of five (5) hours of continuing education classes prior to the renewal of registration in 2018. It is the principal responsible, applicant who has to take the continuing education classes (not employees).

Certificate of Completion

The Certificate of Completion is a record of attendance reflecting each individual JLC LIVE seminar attended and the continuing education hours received. There is an Online Certificate Retrieval System whereby attendees can go online and view/print their seminar attendance certificates.

Electronic Certificates will be available approximately 7-8 weeks after the show. A notification email is sent to all verified attendees in the education program with instructions for retrieving the certificates. To ensure receipt of this notification be sure to use a unique email address when registering for seminars.
